1. I am a little hesitant to provide login details of my website.
That is surely OK. We don't need your login details. We only hope to have some way to make sure that the website you want us to work on is yours.
2. What is the delivery time?
For small websites, delivery can be made in three days. For medium to big websites, we will be happy to provide an accurate delivery time frame after we see your website.
3. How am I protected?
You are protected by PayPal's Buyer Protection policy.
4. Do I own the static website?
Sure. You create a Netlify account by yourself ( no credit card required ) -> you give us your Netlify account access or invite our project manager as a team member ( need to pay Netlify $15 to be able to invite a new member though ) -> We deploy the static website to your Netlify account -> Your website goes live on Netlify -> You point your own domain to Netlify -> Everything is OK -> You change your Netlify account credentials or remove our project manager from your team -> You set up two-factor authentication for your Netlify account. That is it. You have full control of your new website as you have full control of your Netlify account and your domain management dashboard.
5. What if I need to update my website in future?
In future when you need to update your static website, just give us your Netlify account access or add our project manager to your Netlify team again. Our rates for updating a static website are still very low and affordable. For example, $10 for updating an existing page, $20 for adding a new page. The rates might change without prior notice, but we will always lock the rates for existing clients for three years from the time they pay the deposit.
6. I want to maintain and update my blog articles regularly.
We have a few solutions for this scenario, depending whether you would like to go all static for your website, including the blog part, or you would like to use WordPress for your blog alone and keep it at a separate domain or a subdomain. We recommend you go all static then purchase our 🦄 Static Website CMS Service --->. Please do not hesitate to to discuss a custom solution that can fully address your concerns.
7. I would like to build a landing page only.
You are at the right site! Just purchase our 🦄 Faster, High-converting Landing Page Service --->.
The static solution is the perfect choice for landing page purpose. As we said, static pages are fast, and wouldn't feel a thing even when under DDoS attacks. These attributes are native to static pages, so you can rest assured that your landing page will not be slowed down nor even paralyzed due to sudden traffic surge during a successful marketing campaign.
You are always welcome to to discuss your project with us.
8. Can you add my Google Analytics code or Microsoft Clarity code to my static site?
For sure. Just use third-party codes sparingly. Google has advised "Third-party code can significantly impact load performance. Limit the number of redundant third-party providers".
9. I don't want an exact replica of my WordPress website, I want to make some minor changes. Is it OK?
Surely OK. We will not charge extra for minor changes like swapping text or images when building your static site.
10. I prefer a complete redesign of my current website, to a replica.
We surely do that too. Just go ahead to purchase our 🏅 Website Development Plan instead. This plan applies to static website too.
11. Can I keep my original WordPress website and use the static replica as a backup?
This is not necessary, as the earlier you use the static solution, the earlier you will be released from the perpetual worries about WordPress security issues and maintenance chores, and the earlier your visitors will benefit from the speed improvement of the static replica.
But it is surely an available option. When you choose this option, there are some extra steps after we finish your static site:
Step one. We deploy a blank website to your Netlify account, and publish that deploy.
Step two. In future whenever you need to get the static replica up and running, you just log into your Netlify account ---> go to your Deploys tab ---> select the previous static replica production deploy ---> click publish deploy ---> it's done! You don't even need us to help you with that. But in case you need our help, you are always welcome to contact us. We will not charge extra for this help, as we see it as an Extended Warranty offered with your initial purchase.
Step three. You point your custom domain to the static replica, within seconds your static replica will live on your custom domain. This will be a seamless transition, normally your visitors wouldn't experience any downtime.
A DNS change used to take 24-48 hours to propagate, now with modern DNS management tools like Cloudflare, it only takes seconds for the change to take effect.
12. Can I keep both my original WordPress website and the static replica online?
This is also an available option. In this case, you just let the static replica live on the Netlify.app domain, without pointing your custom domain to it. Or if you prefer, you can point a custom subdomain to it.
When we build the static version of your website, we always add rel=canonical HTTP header to each page pointing to their corresponding custom domain URL as the canonical URL of the page. The canonical URL lets you tell search engines that this page is actually the same as the page at the canonical URL, which you pick as the "preferred" version. In concept, setting a canonical is similar to a 301 permanent redirect, only without the actual redirecting. This helps us prevent duplicate content issues.
Google has said: "If you have a single page that's accessible by multiple URLs, or different pages with similar content, Google sees these as duplicate versions of the same page. Google will choose one URL as the canonical version and crawl that, and all other URLs will be considered duplicate URLs and crawled less often."
Google also said: " Google chooses the canonical page based on a number of factors (or signals), such as whether the page is served via HTTP or HTTPS, page quality, presence of the URL in a sitemap, and any rel=canonical labeling. You can indicate your preference to Google using these techniques, but Google may choose a different page as canonical than you do, for various reasons."
Read further >> what Google said about using rel=canonical HTTP header to prevent the possible Duplicate Content issues.
The rel=canonical attribute is not only recognized by Google, but also by Bing and Yahoo.
13. I prefer my own hosting service to Netlify. Is it OK?
It is surely OK. For comparable or even better performance, you might choose one of the storage plans offered by Azure, Google Cloud or AWS. Using these platforms can be incredibly cheap for static websites. In fact, it may cost you as little as $0.50 a month, or even less.
14. What does Netlify free tier offer?
Custom domain. 100GB /month bandwidth. Unlimited personal and commercial projects. Ability to roll back to any version.
15. What if my website exceeds the Netlify free tier in future?
That is good, it means the growth of your business. Depending on what you need to upscale, we will have a lot of choices, besides simply upgrading to a Netlify paid plan. We would like to repeat that, it is absolutely a lot cheaper and easier to host a static website anywhere than a WordPress website, and you still get other benefits that come natively with a static website, such as security, speed and zero maintenance.
16. What is the payment method?
We accept PayPal payment and credit card payment via PayPal. By offering PayPal as the payment method, we aim at offering more assurance to first time clients.
17. I am an agency. Do you offer white label service?
Sure! We provide white label service to agencies. Please do to discuss a custom plan for you.
18. I have other questions.
Please do not hesitate to , we are happy to hear from you!
